Across the Bargaining Table: September Nurse EBA Updates

Written by NPAA | Sep 10, 2026, 5:33:13 AM

NPAA is currently involved in 11 nursing enterprise agreements across Australia, representing members and ensuring nurses have a direct voice at the bargaining table.

Enterprise bargaining shapes the pay, conditions and protections nurses rely on at work. Here’s where negotiations currently stand across the country.

Kawana Private Hospital Nursing Employees Enterprise Agreement 2026

NPAA recently attended a Commission conference regarding approval of the new Agreement. The conference was positive, with Kawana providing undertakings that NPAA believes will allow the Agreement to be approved and finalised soon.
During the conference, NPAA put forward members’ positions on the issues raised and pressed for the Agreement to be finalised.

Once approved, the Agreement will deliver pay increases, improved working conditions and other benefits secured through bargaining for our members. NPAA will continue to keep members informed and provide an update as soon as the Commission makes its determination.

OPAL HEALTHCARE (VICTORIA) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2023

NPAA has now been appointed to bargain on behalf of our members and has attended three meetings with the employer and other bargaining representatives.

NPAA has put forward 29 claims on behalf of members, with discussions continuing as we await the employer’s response. We’ll continue to represent members throughout the bargaining process and provide updates as negotiations progress.

BLUECARE NURSING EMPLOYEES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2024

NPAA has now attended three bargaining meetings with BlueCare, with negotiations progressing well. NPAA has presented our members’ claims and is currently awaiting BlueCare’s response. We’ll continue to represent members and provide updates as bargaining progresses.

TLC AGED CARE VICTORIA AND STAFF, ANMF AND HWU ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2023-MARCH 2027

NPAA has now been appointed to bargain on behalf of our members, with the Appointment of Agent information provided to the employer. We are currently awaiting a response and confirmation of the first bargaining meeting, where NPAA will begin putting forward members’ priorities.

RAMSAY HEALTH CARE QUEENSLAND NURSES AND MIDWIVES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2023-2025

The Ramsay Agreement remains before the Commission for approval, a process which can take up to six weeks. NPAA is currently awaiting the Commission’s decision. Once a determination is made, we’ll let members know what it means for them and the next steps.

ROYAL DISTRICT NURSING SERVICE OF SA LTD NURSES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT

Bargaining is underway, with meetings taking place every three weeks. NPAA has put forward members’ claims and is awaiting a formal response on several outstanding items.
Members are encouraged to attend bargaining meetings and speak directly to their claims, helping strengthen the case for improved conditions. NPAA will send meeting invitations to members as each new date is confirmed.

AGED CARE QUALITY AND SAFETY COMMISSION ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2024-2027

NPAA continues to meet weekly with the Public Sector Bargaining team to work through members’ claims. No wage offer has been put forward at this stage, with negotiations on claims still ongoing. NPAA will continue pressing members’ priorities as bargaining progresses.

NORTHERN TERRITORY PUBLIC SECTOR NURSES AND MIDWIVES’ 2022 – 2026 ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT

NPAA recently met with the NT Commissioner following the rejection of the wage offer. We made it clear that the current offer is not adequate and risks leaving NT nurses and midwives behind in real wages and compared with other jurisdictions.
NPAA will meet with the bargaining team again to push for a stronger wage outcome for our members.

GOOD SHEPHERD LODGE LTD - NURSES ENTERPRISE  AGREEMENT 2023

NPAA has met with Good Shepherd and put forward members’ claims, with responses to those claims still outstanding. Bargaining is currently paused due to the employer’s main bargaining team being unavailable. Once negotiations resume, NPAA will invite members to participate and speak directly to their claims where possible.
