Flexible Working Solutions in Nursing

Sybil, a member of the Victorian branch of the Nurses Professional Association of Australia (NPAV), found herself dealing with workplace bullying and seeking flexibility in her work schedule. Her experience sheds light on the importance of support systems like NPAA in addressing these issues effectively.

When Sybil reached out to NPAA for assistance, she was paired with a case manager who helped her draft a grievance regarding the bullying she was experiencing. Together, they also crafted a proposal for a Flexible Working Agreement (FWA) to accommodate Sybil's needs.

Thanks to the collaborative effort between Sybil and her case manager, her employer took the matter seriously. They promptly approved the flexible work arrangement, showing their commitment to fostering a supportive work environment.

How is the NPAA so effective in defending members during workplace issues and disputes? Our experienced and professional case managers use our unique REDâ„¢ case resolution system.

Why is the NPAA different? We believe that real change in healthcare STARTS with empowering frontline nurses, not bureaucrats.
